Cold Creek Disc Golf Course Grand Opening

Join us on Saturday, July 8 for the grand opening of Cold Creek's Disc Golf Course! The event will run from 10:00AM - 4:30PM and will feature free access to play our new 18 hole disc golf course, mini games, food trucks and an adult only beer garden. There will also be opportunities to win fun King swag and custom Cold Creek discs, while supplies last.

Night at the Creepy Creek

The Township of King presents the Night at the Creepy Creek, our creepiest creek event of the year and fun for the whole family. Featuring a worm composting activity from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m (details below)., Halloween crafts, a haunted hike, candy and more!

The event takes place at the Cold Creek Conservation Area located on 14125 11th Concession, Nobleton. *Haunted hike may not be suitable for children under 6. 

Silent Hike

Escape from the stresses of everyday life by immersing yourself in the beauty of nature. Connect with your natural surroundings by joining us for a Silent Walk at Cold Creek Conservation Area. While on the trail, hikers are not absorbed in conversation but rather silence to take the opportunity to slow things down for a short time and be present and aware of the sights and sounds of the natural landscape.

Parent & Tot Nature Exploration Scavenger Hunt

Get outside and explore the beautiful fall colours. This program is designed for parents and tots to learn and explore their natural surroundings and use their senses to work together on an outdoor nature-based scavenger hunt. Participants will explore Cold Creek searching for specific items and share their findings with other participants. Please come dressed for the weather with appropriate footwear. Infants/ toddlers must be accompanied by a maximum of one adult.

Evening Family Hike

A perfect opportunity to get outside and explore some of the beautiful trails found throughout King Township with your loved ones. This free guided hike is great for people of all ages. Please come dressed for the weather and wear appropriate footwear.

Seed Saving Workshop: Preserving Next Years Harvest

Attention gardeners! Are you interested in learning how to save seeds to grow next year? Join us for a 1-hour presentation where you will be introduced to several hands-on techniques for collecting, cleaning, and storing seeds from the garden including both wet and dry processing. After the presentation, participants are invited to join us for a 30 minute (optional) guided hike along the trails to identify wildflowers. This workshop is offered in partnership with the Lake Simcoe South Master Gardeners. Please come dressed for the weather and wear appropriate footwear.
